Community
The Reef Stewardship Foundation was initially formed as Project DIBS (Desirable Invertebrates Breeding Society) in 2006. As the volunteer community formed and key members were added, we refined our mission and in 2008 we began the transition to the Reef Stewardship Foundation.

The growth of the Foundation could never have happened without its strong volunteer community. Tireless work by volunteers has brought the community together and continues to expand it.
Now that the Foundation is a non-profit corporation, the community of volunteers have never been more important. Each volunteer’s diverse experiences and skills are one of the strengths of the Foundation. The Foundation structure consists of the Board of Directors and an Advisory Council composed of specially designated volunteer subcommittees.
